The Biggest Meme on the Internet?

If you don’t know what a meme is then our good friend Mr Wikipedia is at hand: meme.

This is a quick update to report on the amazing success of the “Pagerank vs Life” campaign that we started earlier in the week.

It has been a huge success already, and I still have even more sites to add to the ever growing list. Some people have already talked about it possibly becoming the biggest viral campaign of 2007.

So this is a post to guide you over the coming weeks. If you are on the list then please have a quick read, if you are not on the list, then pay very close attention.

DEAN, I AM NOT ON THE LIST

If you are retarded or mentally insane, then send me a doctors certificate and I will excuse you for not taking part. If however you are a perfectly able-minded human, then I tut in your general direction. Actually, I do more than a tut, I shake my head vigorously in disapproval.

“But Dean“, I hear you cry… “I don’t have a blog, my site is a professional website where I sell items“… It doesn’t matter. Just set up a new page on your site, add the list, then at the footer of your homepage, link to the new page… call it something like PR-Partners.

None of your customers are going to see it anyway, so stop whining and get in on the gold rush.

“But Dean, not all of the links are relevant, won’t this harm my site?” Want the simple answer? NO! The Google engineers have stated many times that no links to your site can harm your site. At the very least you will get a Pagerank and traffic boost, if you happen to get higher Google rankings as well, then that is just the icing on the sweetest tasting cake.

DEAN, I AM ALREADY ON THE LIST

“But Dean, I don’t want to have to update my list every day for the next year.” Me neither! Listen, at best this is going to start dying out in a few weeks. Four months from now it will be a distant yet fond memory. Try and update daily for the next few weeks, after that, do it weekly, then check it once a month for a few months. Then forget about it and find a way of spending all your extra earnings

YOU ARE THE WORST FRIEND EVER

We all have friends and contacts who we speak to via email, MSN, Skype etc… listen, if you tell them about this campaign then they will owe you for all eternity. If you don’t bother emailing them, and they find out you are on the list, they will want to throw you off the nearest cliff.

Do your good deed for the century and email your friends, email any webmasters you know, if you have an opt-in list, then email them as well, and point them to the original page. You may even get a free beer from it.

Also, the more people that take part = the most powerful this will become = more links for you.
