Do You Feel the Buzz?
Dean Hunt puts the "buzz" in buzz marketing
..and the "viral" in viral diseases
Still like the top design best.

I very much prefer #21,
The bunny has a comical look that seemly can be changed to a more rage-like look however. As it stands I’ld very much prefer it.
Jesse
Thanks guys…
Quick reminder to everyone, I am giving an exclusive, never before seen copy of the book that myself and Barry wrote, so be as detailed as you can in your feedback.
Much appreciated.
Dean
Me too… (the top one)
Lets face it while they are killer bunnies, they still have to be Cute and fluffy so this rules out any angular designs. They also have to be unassuming and beyond reproach… “what the bunny did That??? - NEVER)… hence while the top one depicts the bunnies doing what seems to be ‘normal’ things, it is not until closer inspection, (aaawww the deviousness of the killer bunny) that one sees that ‘all is not what it seems’.
I also like the idea that the bunnies are working as a team, scheming away.
The second bunny just looks overweight, or has he swallowed something (someone?)
The third one -has no cuteness - a critical point I think.
The fourth one - while I know it is a bunny, could be mistaken for a back molar in need of a dentist.
The fifth, too dark angry and scary, again no cuteness, finally,
The sixth looks like it is either drunk, or has just vomited all over the back wall…. it was only on the last look that I actually noticed a person lying down and put the whole cartoon together.
Mmmh - hands down the first one.. I like the red tails…
However Dean, I think the artist could work a little more on it if you give him/her a shot at it… just for a little more animation in the face.
Good Luck!
Lisa
PS my 9 yo son votes 1 too
oooh, I don’t mind the new one from Jesse - Lee. I really like the ‘fluffy’, soft body, but if its a critic you want - how about changing the pink for red, and instead of making him angry have him look a little more devious - a sly smile.. but love the ears and body…. Lisa
Number 28 has a certain air about it. It feels very Dean Huntish and seems to embody the “because everyone is entitled to my opinion” attitude you and your site have. The character has a bit of a ganster feel to it aswell, which might be fun to play with.
29 could work very well. The character looks pretty menacing and has a pretty slick look to it.
My favorite has to be 23 though. The innocent - almost cute - looking bunnies are the perfect characters to lull the viewer into a false sense of security. The viewer would be like, “Awww look at the little bunnies” and then WHAM one of them jumps out of the screen and bites their throat out! The brilliance is in the innocence!
Hi Dean,
I think the design by Pinky (21) is the best – looks like a rabbit and can pull off both cute and sinister.
The designs by Innova (10, 23, 32) could be good if it looked more like a rabbit, at the moment it looks more like a pokemon character.
If you want to ignore “cute” and just go for sinister I think 14 and 20 pull this off quite well.
Hope this is of use to you!
Kind Regards,
David
I love no. 28! I think the crazed, and insane look is brilliant. You can just image him going off the rails and the most unexpected of times.
I agree with what people have said above about having cute and cuddly bunnies with a hidden evil edge. I do like the top design and now the artist has shown more versatility by adding props I like it even more.
But I still really like #13 because it’s such a simple drawing and so well done. I just think the artist is really talented and could create some great work for you. It reminds me of Happy Tree Friends (http://happytreefriends.atomfilms.com/)…if you haven’t seen it you’ll be humming the theme song all day. The artist has also been on 99designs for longer and had many winning designs which could be important since you probably need an ongoing relationship.
I know you have the minimalist vision in your head though so perhaps the top one is what you should go for. But note the English error on the profile and just make sure you can communicate your ideas effectively to her.
BTW for the people commenting. I’ve seen the draft of the report Dean’s offering as a prize and it’s killer stuff. Considering how much value his free reports have offered I’m surprised more of you aren’t going all out to win it!
Number one is the way to go. Brandable, posable, recognisable, character filled, multi use, feel like they have a “back story” and the most flexible in terms of future useage too.
As for the last one

I have to question if it is actually NSFW as I am pretty sure Rabits can’t do that
Shout me on MSN if you fancy a further chattage about it, but deffo number one all the way. I would go so far as to say update your site header too, even though you only just updated it

OK, open your eyes and listen because you’ll soon receive feedback on all of your bunnies. I’m gonna suppose that the bunnies were alive and gonna give my impression on what they’re saying (and rate them and give small comment).
#1 - I’m some strange bunny with X (ordinary, rate:2)
#2 - I’m a strange bunny with X and a stick. I fight you and take blood (just enhanced version of the previous one, rate:3)
#3 - I’m a bunny, look at me! (his style is more like ‘helpless’ than ‘I’m a killer’ rate:3)
#5 - I rob, I kill I..surf? (it doesn’t give a good initial impression, rate:3)
#6 - I kill, I surf (the same like #5, rate:3)
#7 - i have bloood, you nigga (I like this because it gives a good first impression with a “style” rate:4)
#8 - I’m helpless bunny with blood behind me! (nah, rate:3)
#9 - Wazzup! (it looks more like a “cool killer” than a true killer bunny, rate:3)
#10 - I look like good, but don’t make me mad! (haha, this is good, it is from one extreme to another, rate:4)
#12 - I’m gonna show ya something, ready all? (looks like going to kill, not really killing, rate:3)
#13 - Don’t freak me, I’m already a freak (nice face, makes me laugh, rate:5)
#14 - boooooooooo (alien! rate:3)
#15 - hehe, who’s next? (sorry, little ordinary, rate:3)
#16 and #17 - killing rocks! (little ordinary, rate:3)
#18 - My mom told me to do it, it’s not my fault!
(it doesn’t really looks in “killing style”, rate:3)
#19 - Go here if you wanna… (somehow stands out, rate:5)
#20 - Weirdo (rate:3)
#21 - I’m cute, but wait to see me how cute I am! (nice combination, rate:5)
#22 - 1960? (rate:2)
#23 - (it doesn’t give a full impression it’s a true killing bunnies, rate:3)
#24 - Mysterious….(it’s one of my favorites, rate:4)
#26 - So you wanna….eh? (typical, rate:3)
#27 - knock knock, guess who’s back! (it leaves nice impression, rate:4)
#28 - haha looks like the “big fat boss” (rate:4)
#29 - No mercy! (looks like nice story, rate:5)
#30 - Hiiii!! (surprising, rate:4)
#31 - Hi! (ordinary, rate:3)
#32 - I’m super sophisticated bunnie! (rate:4)
So, the best:
#13, #21, #19, #29
#10 and #23…. which are both by the same artist! No wonder I liked them!
They are more approachable and don’t cause a negative first reaction. Truly like Charlie said above…lulls you into a false sense of security … before you get clobbered!
What fun!
My choice is the last one. It comes close to what our Dean Hunt is like.
i like #13 and #24 but what about the bunnies in your current logo? i seem to like the more realistic looking bunnies myself.
#23 and #18 might do if they had a nose and some whiskers maybe.
hth
big jason
Really like 20 & 26. They are not “bloody” and do not have children in the graphic.
Seriously guys & gals the ONLY bunny who looks more than capable of owning a killer instinct with intent to carry out the devilish task each and every time is #26.
The red eyes are verging on the demonic and he can definitely swipe a killer blow to rival Hiro Nakamura with his craftly concealed baseball bat.
Personally I think Vinnie the Panda from the Fox’s “Biscwits” advert can take him though.
A killer bunny must be cute.
No fangs, no gore, no gangster suit.
A baby-face, a fuzzy bottom,
If girls say “awww…” you know you’ve got ‘em.
Bring it on — the shocked surprise
To be whumped between the eyes.
His stumpy arms look way too small
To do you any harm at all.
His little eyes reveal no mind
To think up evil from behind.
What kind of killer could he be?
I’m watching now — oh, you’ve killed me!
You surely know the ones I mean.
Their money isn’t the right green.
Their reading could offend one creed.
But little tweaks are all you need.
One bunny does the job for me
And it’s inovva’s 23.
Joanne - That is genius. You rock!
Dean
Hi Dean,
These are the criteria I employ when judging a logo:
1. It must be describable.
2. Memorable.
3. Effective in one colour
4. Scalable.
Taking these criteria into account, this is what I think about the top 2 logos:
Logo #32 (my favourite) by Inovva
1. A cute, innocent-looking white, Pokemon-like bunny with tiny red fangs and horn-like red fluff in its ears.
2. It’s simplicity of form and facial expression, means it will be timeless. Think Hello Kitty & Snoopy.
3. As it only uses two colours (not counting white), it will be as strong in black and white as it is in colour. It will also work as an outline.
4. Its simplicity, again, means it will work at small and large sizes. Reduce it to a small size, and it’s outline is still recognizable. And, it will translate very well into a 3D figure (think merchandising).
On top of this, it has more character than the more ‘expressive’ bunnies, as it’s not immediately evident who/what it is: a killer bunny. The other designs are too literal and therefore obvious. This bunny is multi-dimensional. Ok, the fangs give it’s darker side away a bit, but then that’s counterweighed by the sheer cuteness of it. You would forgive this bunny it’s trespasses. It’s very, very cute. Reminds me of a character (or rather characters) in the current UK Dr Who series (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Partners_in_Crime_(Doctor_Who). It’d like to see it in a HUNTer’s outfit (pun intended).
The illustrator has also shown they’re not a one-trick pony, I mean bunny (ouch). The design demonstrates:
– great spacial design
– consistent look applied to other elements
– scope in the look to have a range of characters (siblings, cousins)
– and most importantly, a sense of humour.
As, #32 is by far my favourite, I have less to say about my 2nd and 3rd runners up.
Logo #28 by Adam Burleig
1. It must be describable: A fat bunny, shaped like a half-sphere, who looks like he’s seen better days (and has eaten a lot of jelly beans)
2. Memorable: It’s girth makes it different from most other bunnies, but it could be mistaken for a mouse with long ears.
3. Effective in one colour: in one colour this may look more like a blob than a bunny.
4. Scalable: The face loses all definition at smaller sizes, so the ears are the only thing that make it seem like a bunny.
Character: Seems middle-aged or menopausal and looks like it’s eaten most of its victims. Not particularly nimble. But, I chose it as it does have a sense of character.
Logo #21 by Pinky
1. It must be describable: A pudgy bunny with a very expressive (currently angry) face.
2. Memorable: It’s got a nice 3D form which is quite memorable, if undistinctive.
3. Effective in one colour: This will work equally well in one colour. It has a nice graphic feel to it’s outline.
4. Scalable: The simplicity of this design means it scales well (down or up).
Character: Although this bunny is fluffy, it’s menacing facial expression immediately let’s you know this is one mean bunny. Which kind of makes it less interesting for me. There’s nothing to discover. But, this bunny could work like the first one (no. 32), if it’s expression were softened.
Would love to win the book (here’s hoping…).
All the best,
IH
I reckon 10 & 23 - they’re simple, (so easy to reproduce in large quantities with not too much work- good for doing cartoons etc.), but distinctive, almost like they could be a logo, and look the most like the bunnies in your original video. They are supposed to be bunnies foremost and killers second and these look cute, but expressionless enough to be mental - some of the others look like they think too much for rabbits.
I Hoffman,
Wow, great feedback.
I should stress that they are not technically logos. I am actually using them in low-quality videos… but that is not to say they won’t become logos… as they may well do so.
Thanks again.
Dean
Thanks, Dean.
How could I pass up my chance for a Web Traffic Orgasm?

Aloha Dean, Gracias Mucho,
here is my serial numbre for the serial killer bunnies, gory isn’t it? but who cares, I am in it for the huge paltry sum of 199 million dollars, by the way, you MUST be joking!!! I love eccentricity!!! BUT ALL MUST RISE OUR DEAN HUNT HAS ASKED FOR A SUBMISSION!!!! errants, offenders will not be paid
please if you think, I am the perfect bunny decider, send bucks not books. Thanks.
HERE ARE MY FAVORITES:
sr.no.12, 13, 21, they satisfy my killer instincts which I have as a serial killer. Thanks.
Hey Dean,
No doubt in my mind. Either #32 or #23, both by inovva.
Each one has a nice style and appeal to the eye.
Also, they appear to fit in with your present scheme.
I look forward to seeing what you choose.
Best,
Scott
Hi Dean,
Thanks for your email. And…er, sorry. I’ve had logos on my mind for a few days now.
Character design. That’s it. =:o
IH
Hey Dean…
Gotta go w/ the top design.
To me… the top design the bunnies have more broad appeal because they aren’t as ‘rough’ and ‘mean’ looking as some of the other ones.
I don’t know… to virtually everyone the words “killer” and “bunny” are seldom seen together (which of course is part of what makes it work to call attention to it). For me, it’s more effective if the “bunnies” are less blood and gore… and more “evil mastermind” bunnies like the top image.
Blood and gore can only go so far… but the first pic puts brains behind the “killer bunnies” which also makes the possibilities of what crazy things you can do w/ them even greater.
Anyhow man… the first one is the way to go… has more legs and can be used more broadly.
Chat soon,
- Trevor
Hi Dean,
Here are my thoughts. I would pick the artists Inovva, AdamBurleigh and ArcanicEvo on a retainer for their services. Especially if I’m planning a video series resembling a comic strip. The order is in order of merit based on my own eye. Inovva is more consistent in what he has displayed but I kind of like ArcanicEvo’s rendition of the bunny. He has managed a bunny that looks cute yet has a slight sinister edgy look. The kind of villainous bunny you would love to hate
I agree with Diane … #26 is easily the best.
He looks like he’s just come from the rabbit version of The Sopranos.
Innova’s are great looking, (a bit like the Adipose from Dr Who) but too cute for my taste.
What I want to REALLY see are the 3 small hamsters on crack powering this blog …
You gonna make them print your book as well or are you leaving that to the half a dozen spliffed-up ferrets living in your basement?
21 looks like he has got something to say!! and looks smart and cute as well. Yep that’s my choice. 21
Dean, am wondering who won the ‘best feedback’ prize?
