Top Mind Hacks for Business Success in 2010
In Buzz Marketing, General | 6 comments | permalink

Look again at the title of this blog post… did you come check out this post because of that title? If so, you just got drawn in due to one of my content blueprints… the good news is that I am going to show you how to do the same, and get loads more traffic to your website.
This blueprint is a simple one, and it works on two main levels (more on that in a moment)…
So jot this down:
Dean’s New Year Hack Blueprint:
“XXXX Hacks for X Success in 2010″
As always, it is simply just a case of replacing the X’s to match your topic and niche.
So let’s look at some examples:
“Kitchen Hacks for Restaurant Success in 2010″
“Body Hacks for Fitness Success in 2010″
“Windows Hacks for Office Success in 2010″
“Credit Card Hacks for Debt Success in 2010″
etc…
TIP: If you want to spruce this up further, simply listify your content.
e.g “7 Content Hacks for Blog Success in 2010″
Simples!
Or if you are super confident…
“Top 5 Engine Hacks for Racing Success in 2010″
It really depends on the content and your style as to how far you go with this…
This blueprint works for a few reasons:
1) It fits in with the start of the New Year… people will assume it is brand new information, simply because it is for 2010…. it is also very topical.
2) The word hacks suggests something that is a shortcut, a trick, an exploit… like it or not, we ALL get turned on by that on some level.
3) If you add the list element, then you have the skimmable content factor as well.
So now it is your turn… take this blueprint and go create a blog post, email, article, video etc… you will find that this blueprint will get more attention, clicks, comments and links than regular content.
Remember, the headline is the most important part.
Enjoy, and post your efforts in the comments below.
Dean
PS: Happy New Year everyone… I have been ill in bed for almost a week, so finally getting back into action.
PPS: Quick question… if you had the choice, would you rather I showed you how to find and develop your own blueprints? Or, would you prefer that I found them and shared them with you?

I vote for finding and developing own blueprints (though I enjoy seeing your examples a lot).
Actually, just writing that is a great nudge. It’s not that difficult to go do an analysis of successful blog posts and their titles…
Happy new year to you too!
Cheers,
Shane

I love these posts from you. Your headlines always make me click.
As far as your question goes, I think that if you showed how you found your blueprints and shared them with us as well. The good ol’ two-for-one.
And if I really had to choose, I’d say learn how to make and develop my own.
Keep-em coming,
Will

Hey Dean, I would actually prefer you find and share them with me. I say that for one reason. We can all research and find cool headlines etc… to model. I enjoy hearing your viewpoint and thought’s on them. I think the power of sharing different ideas such as this post has greater value.
I plan on using something like :” 7 Easy Video Hacks for Blog Success in 2010″
Something like that anyways. Thanks for helping the brainstorm process.
p.s. I would love to hear about some of your monetization tactics and strategies, and seeing more video.
Thanks Pal,

Hehe…I did it (used the blueprint).
Also, I asked my daughter (who turned 17 today) if she liked her theater experience tonight–she went to see Sherlock Holmes with her friends. And her impression was very good in every way.
On the other hand my parents never go anymore because they remember how cheap it was. In 1940 absolutely everybody went (according my my Nana’s diary) 3 or 4 times a week. Maybe you’re right about the business model, Deano.
Hope you’ll be made whole now, up and around in short order, my friend…

I believe that hacks are not the right way for you to follow to aim your success. We now that some hack strategy was successful but not all the time. It is best if you are going to follow the right way to success.
