I Screwed Up Royally

I just got a blog comment from a guy called Craig Dewe, his comment pointed out that I recently “screwed up royally” with my recent blog post.

I always thrive on criticism, and I take whatever Craig says VERY seriously, so I have decided to publish his comments below.

“Dean,

Interesting that this is “one of the single most important blog posts I will ever write” and yet you screwed it up so royally!

For the record, I am one of the few people who have seen both the book and the membership site. I can’t express how good it is because too many swear words are used, but if Dean showed it to the Queen of England, she’d easily say it was “KICK ASS!”

First, the book. You know how all these ‘gurus’ go on about “moving the freeline” and all that crap. So they release an ebook or two that is 40 pages of why the “concept” is so great and will make you millions of dollars instantly, 10 pages of quality, usable content, and another 40 pages of why you should buy their upcoming product.

We all know the Product Launch Formula. No surprises there.

But Dean is the first GURU that actually writes a full book that’s actually 100% mind blowing content about marketing your business online…and then is silly enough to give it away for free. (This book was always intended for sale, not as a marketing giveaway)

I know it’s hot in Madrid at the moment… but that’s no reason to lose his mind!

When I read his 10 page Web Traffic Orgasm Case Study report last year, my first Buzz Marketing attempt landed me over 2000 new visitors. Just by following the template he laid out.

So can you imagine what the full Web Traffic Orgasm, containing over 50 pages (I think?) of effective strategies to market your business online, might do for you? I thought so.

As for the membership site, if you can’t scrape together $27 for it you might as well sell all of your domain names and go back to your day job.

When other ‘gurus’ are charging at least $397 a month for their membership sites, you can’t afford to miss this.

Remember, you’re getting access to all of the techniques that he uses with the Platinum Club members that pay him $25,000 a year. Sure, you have to implement them yourself, but with Dean’s step-by-step templates, this is hardly difficult.

***Ok, end of rant***

Sorry for the long post! I just wanted to point out a few things that Dean missed. I think he gets a little shy when it comes to promoting his own products. And if you thought this is some clever marketing trick, remember:

- I’ve seen the products (how many affiliate emails do you get when that happens?)

- I’m not, nor will I be, an affiliate (look mum, no links!)

- I know what I’m talking about (I make ALL my income through improving and marketing websites)

- I’m not getting paid to say this (I’m a friend of Dean, not his puppet)

Finally, good luck to all those people going for the beta testing positions!”

  1. Comment from Buzzoodle Ron on July 11th, 2008 :

I agree that $27 is silly low. I have not seen it yet, but even if I know 75% of the stuff already, the other 25% will be worth more than $27.

Dean, just make sure you I get in before you come to your senses and raise the price.

I’m new around here, I heard your name and references through your site quite a few times throughout the blogs I visit, or various other places.

I will be getting a little more familiar with your site, I am interested in this book about traffic as well.

    see ya
