Today I would like to discover how dumb you are.
Below are four questions and a bonus question. You have to answer them instantly. You can’t take your time, answer all of them immediately. OK?

Man I am so DUMB!
Loved it. Very painful to move from one question to the next as I got steadily dumber and dumber (no I didn’t get ALL the questions wrong, but it sure felt like it) But I could not stop reading . . . objective achieved for this post.

I should have read this post first thing this morning rather than just before I want to shutdown for the evening. I hate going to bed dumber than when I started so I’m going to have to stay up a little later just to redeem myself and learn something. Hopefully some of the other posts on this blog will help with my education.

I knew I would not be in 1st place because that depends on how many were in the race.
The addition question I got wrong. So I went back and added it up again in my mind and got the right answer. I just wasn’t thinking.

With first question the answer I would give is it depends..

First of all it doesn’t specify that you only overtake the second person so you may also have overtaken the first person also.
Secondly it doesn’t say the second person at that stage of the race so it could refer to the position they were in at the start of the race.

I got 2 and a half right (1st, 3rd and 5th). I say 2 and a half ‘cos I was thinking: ‘why doesn’t the blind guy just ask?’ But then you said ‘indicate’ and I was thinking: ’so he has to gesture, then’.

First (If given two or more laps the person in first can overtake the person in last) “Lapping” buttttt…………
The Full and Correct answer is:
you Could Technically be anywhere from first – 2nd to last.
Even the 2nd to last person can lap *overtake* the person in last place. :p
These questions are in circulation. They may not be the same word for word but they are based on the same concept. Dont post this on your site calling people wrong.

but whoever did come up with the concepts of these questions is rather intelligent.

Wow. I got the math question wrong. I honestly thought it was 5000, checked it with 2 calculators and couldn’t believe it. I spent about 2 minutes trying to figure it out and then couldn’t believe how dumb I was for not realizing.

Not sure if anybody has said this and I’m way too lazy to look, but you can pass the last person. You can lap them in a track race. I said first and I’m requesting a recount.

To Taylor Harris…really? The guy who makes a huge fuss about one of the questions/answers not being correct and accurate? And you are going to put the horse question on here? You do realize that the original question did not specify which direction the hay bail was in relation to the horse, right? So, your “correct” answer is only true under certain unstated conditions. If the bail was 25 feet from the horse going opposite the stake, then the bail would be 40 feet from the stake, making it impossible for the horse to obtain the hay. Seriously.
The first question has problems with it which is why I got it “wrong”.
IF there are over two people in the race then I am wrong, however if there are only two people in the race the words “the second person” does not have to imply second in the race. It can just apply to the other person you are racing.
So by saying that you are in first place is not wrong because the number of participants is a key fact when deciding your answer.
It would be good, if we get a chance to answer those questions…..
