Guess Who’s Back

Yes, you guessed it, your favourite buzz marketing guru is back in the building.
I was at London over the weekend for a seminar, (stories coming later in the week). I am now back in sunny Madrid and raring to get back into the action.
I will be sharing what I learned in London, I certainly had a few halogen moments, and if I could clone myself 100 times I still would not have the man power to put all my ideas into action.
On a sidenote… I have had a few people email me asking about the “Say no to pagerank” lack of updates.
Here is the thing… approx two weeks after I launched the campaign, Google decided that they were not happy with people getting tons of links so easily. So I have now decided to not update the list anymore.
I will leave it online, but I will not be accepting new entries.
Sods law really, people do this for years, I get in on the action and make one of the net’s biggest memes, and Google decides to move the goalposts.
It is a good job I have many more techniques up my virtual sleeves.
Speak to you soon.
Dean

Hi Dean,
Welcome back … the heavens just opened in the UK so it looks like you missed the rain I know all expats yearn for
Peter.
Talking about cloning yourself made me think of a very funny movie made several years ago, called “Multiplicity” starring Micheal Keeton. In this movie he clones himself and then more clones. If you haven’t seen it it is good clean humor. I have wished several times I could clone myself when I had so much to do, with three small children and a job.
I think it is great that you have come back from this event with so many ideas, don’t you just love it?
Well have a good day.
Welcome back! Can’t wait to hear what you learned. I hear Google is heavily penalizing sites that sell links and that have linkbacks from unrelated sites… ah well! The “Say No to Pagerank” meme got one of my blogs from Technorati Authority 3 or something like that to Technorati authority 95! Guess it was too good to last!
OK, bring on the new ideas!
Welcome back! I heard this as well… I remember when John Chow was doing this.. and a few others. I don’t think they are doing it any longer. Too bad… I needed those incoming links a lot!
