Eye Test Results

Yesterday I spent most of the day in Madrid for my eye test. I have been having some eye problems of late and I haven’t had an eye exam since school, so it is fair to say I was a bit concerned.

I had all sorts of tests and all manner of lights shon into my eyes. Then she put some black liquid in my eyes and my pupils grew so that most of my eye was black. Then she put more light into my eyes and did a few more tests.

The results were…………………..

Wait for it…………….

Generally I am ok.

My eye sight is no longer perfect. She has said that I don’t need glasses, but i could get some so that my eyes can rest whilst on the pc.

Also, those black lines and squiggly shapes that I am seeing are here to stay. She said it could have been caused by stress, an injury, or even that perhaps I coughed too hard and the pressure damaged a cell in my eye.

After the eye test I had to get two metros and one bus back to the town in southern Madrid. During this journey I couldn’t look anywhere near light due to having huge black pupils and it is fair to say I was feeling a bit crap.

We bought an amusing item for the kitchen of our new house. I will take a photo and post it on here in coming posts.

One of the things that the doctor mentioned was that the eye damage could be stress related. Consdiering that we are moving into our own new house in 6 weeks, I have just sold my network of web sites and I live in a foreign country… it is possible to see where the stress could come from. Also, I feel that the lack of form of my beloved Manchester United must surely have played a part

So with that in mind I am for once going to listen to the doctors and take a rest for a while. I think a step back is needed so that I can find a good project to do next.
