Hey Dean,

I've been enjoying your blog for a while now, and I'm happy to share a twitter tip with you and yours. Like the rest of the social networks, Twitter is about relationships and conversations.

In addition to simply tweeting what you're up to, I've learned that it helps greatly to pay attention to other people's tweets. When you see something that interests you, feel free to respond to them or start a conversation. People often tweet more personal things than they would blog, so you have the opportunity to make better connections.

Which isn't to say that you can't get attention from your tweets. During a recent heatwave in NYC, when I tweeted that I was topless eating a popsicle, I did get a tiny spike of new followers ;-) It wasn't a stunt. I was just bored. But I learned that people are paying attention on twitter, even if you think they're not. They just have to have a reason to care about you.

Thanks for reading.
Carla

Just one question...how do you make it in the mozilla window..to appear just your post name and not the name of your blog?

For example, now it appears:
Dean’s Twitter Updates for 2008-06-26 instead of:

Dean’s Twitter Updates for 2008-06-26 | The Extreme Buzz marketing Guru & His Killer Bunnies.
