Chocolate Rain

Have you heard about the viral phenomenon that is “Chocolate Rain” yet?

It is a video from YouTube that has taken the net by storm.

However, sometimes a video goes viral and you don’t understand why you are compelled to watch it. I think this is certainly one of those cases.

The amazing thing is that the singer is being deadly serious. That IS his real singing voice, and the song is NOT a spoof.

As with any good viral video, there have been loads of amusing imitations:

Darth Vader sings chocolate rain

McDonalds Advert

Chocolate Rain Sung By McGruff The Crime Dog

The singer is now becoming a worldwide star, and frankly, nobody seems to know why.

Isn’t the Internet brilliant!

    Hey Dean,

This is hilarious. Totally uncalled for.

The collective unconscious is a very strange thing…

    Thanks Dean,

I do wonder just exactly what makes some of these things such viral phenomenons…

The thing is, you never know what’s gonna be the next big thing.

That’s the beauty of the Internet I guess.

As long as you’re a doer you just never know.

But one thing is for sure, sit on your ass an do nothin and nothin is what you’ll get!

Great Blog Dean, Keep Up The Madness!

Normally, I think it’s good to share… chocolate rain is an exception to this rule!
A good one to share (I hope it’s OK with you) from TED … 19-year-old William Kamkwamba won a standing ovation for his shy 3-minute interview, revealing how as a 14-year-old he had solved his parents’ energy needs in a village with no electricity - http://www.ted.com/talks/view/id/153

Whoa… I’m just amazed at the piano player… I thought the techno background music was made by computers…
