Advert Wars

At times business can seem like a war, there is corruption, dirty tactics and a hell of a lot of fighting.

However, it is good to see that even the biggest and most respectable brand names are also getting their hands dirty.

Recently I came across an advertising campaign that really amused me. The first advert was from car giant BMW:

bmw advert funny

OUCH!

Then Audi fought back with an equally amusing advert:

audi advert

BAM!

But then Subaru decide to join the advert war and give this sucker punch to them both:

Subaru advert hilarious

WAM!

So it looks like Subaru were gloating at what looked like a last minute victory, but then someone brought nuclear weapons to a gun fight:

Bentley wins

WE HAVE A WINNER. GAME, SET AND MATCH TO BENTLEY.

But at least this goes to show that even the biggest brands play dirty from time to time ;)

A Great Post Dean — very funny but also a very interesting “comment” on business in general.

    Dog eat Dog etc ;-)

It must be getting tough out there - in the real world! ;-)

    Thats classic,

I run an e-commerce site selling auto parts so I’m definitely going to be using these images to entice visitors a laugh.

I wish Holden Vs Ford would get into the act down under.

The simplicity of those ads are amazing to me. Here are several companies with millions of $ in the advertising budgets and they all chose a simple (and highly effective) advertising path. Sometimes we maybe forget the K.I.S.S. principle.

Hahahaha, that happens when the biggests enter in the war. The best campaign is from Bentley, of course.

Obviously these guys got the joke. That’s why they’re congratulating you, the guy who made the joke, and not the company which had absolutely nothing to do with them. Oh, wait, they all think that’s a real Bentley ad, because they’re idiots.

I like how even AFTER you mentioned that you’re not claiming these are real ads, someone posted “way to go Bentley”. Missing the point much?
